Empower Therapy Group (ETG) is deeply committed to equitable, culturally responsive service delivery, ensuring that all families receive high-quality care regardless of their background, socioeconomic status, or language barriers. This commitment is rooted in the vision of ETG’s owner and operator, Emily Corbett, a first-generation Salvadorian American who grew up in the very community ETG serves. As a Latina business owner, Emily understands firsthand the challenges that many families face in accessing early intervention services and has built ETG on the foundation of inclusivity, diversity, and advocacy. With respect to contract terms Empower Therapy Group is fully committed to upholding the provisions and principles of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and strictly adheres to all anti-discrimination and inclusion policies established by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Emily chose the name “Empower” Therapy Group as a direct nod to promote inclusion and empowerment to ALL.

Culturally Responsive and Inclusive Practices

This is especially relevant for early intervention because our therapists understand that not all normed developmental milestones are appropriate to target the same way for every culture. Empower’s providers regularly discuss these topics in team meetings and trainings to ensure our families feel heard and supported.
